Casa de Estudillo

This San Diegan structure is the setting for the book Ramona, written by Helent Hunt Jackson. Believed to be based on a true story involving a white woman, a native american man and a doomed love affair. Ever since it was first published in 1884 it has been visited by countless numbers of Ramona fans from around the globe.

Casa De Estudillo is constantly haunted by strange voices, flashes of light coming from nowhere, and the appearance of shadowy figures. Possibly the spirit of Jose Antonio Estudillo, the patriarch of the Casa. Then again, possibly not.
