Once a bustling fount of activity in the center of downtown Los Angeles, the Alexandria was later deserted for the more posh hotels that were sprouting up in the west side of the city. Later on, actresses Lisa Mitchell and Nancy Malone, happened upon the hotel and decided to foot the bill to give the Alexandria a more modern look.

During renovations Malone encountered the spirit of a woman dressed completely in black walking down the corridor. The apparition gave off the feeling of immense grief as it seemingly glided past Nancy Malone and through the corridor.

There is an ancient Hopi Indian Legend that describes a tribe of people called the Lizard People. Although not much is known of them, it is believed that they developed a massive underground tunnel network that connected their subterranean cities together. One of their cities is believed to be located underneath Times Mirror Square. It hasn’t been proven if they actually existed but in recent times construction workers have found networks of tunnels under the square.
